Sustainable Tourism as a Development Strategy in Indonesia

In recent years, Indonesia has increasingly shown its dependence on the tourism sector by adopting idea of sustainable as a development strategy. Based doctrinal legal research method with statutory and conceptual approach, this article used concept to explore opportunities challenges faced in developing sector. This argues that even though 2009 Tourism Law specifically regulates governance based multisectoral law does not clearly adopt tourism, resulting different perceptions between actors at various levels administration. The agenda particular still depends initiatives each actor, is fragmented heavily influenced factors power relations, financial capacity, human resources. suggests need for strengthening institutional frameworks achieve 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals place communities subject development.Keywords: Law, Goals, governance.
